Roadside Assistance

Know when to call for help

$600

When your car breaks down, you call AAA, but when your organization hits a roadblock, you call Nonprofit Nomad! As a grant writer, grant panelist, and former executive director, I’ll lend you my expertise and 360° perspective—no topic is off limits!

Roadside Assistance is designed so you can quickly get the answers you urgently need to go on your way. In advance of our 60-minute call, you’ll receive a questionnaire so I can be fully prepped on the details of your mission, strategy, and issues keeping you up at night. After we talk, I’ll follow up with notes and strategic recommendations on how to move forward.

Pack Your Bags

Get grant ready

$1000

Is the process of collecting the required documentation for a grant application a nightmare every single time? If you’re like most nonprofits, you keep swearing you’ll get it all organized so you never have to go through that again… but there never seems to be the time.

Let me do it for you so you can skip the mad dash. I’ll streamline the application process by combining all your attachments into a single, easy-to-access repository so you can submit your proposal without any fuss.

If you’d like start-to-finish help, Pack Your Bags can be combined with any of the grant packages below.

Plan Your Stops

Map out your funding strategy

$3000

Grant proposals require too much time and effort to apply to ones that aren’t a great fit.

Knowing the program or project you’d like to have funded, I’ll deliver a personalized roadmap that filters down the multitude of available grants to a small set of opportunities where you’ll be competitive. This will help you focus your energy on the grants you should be pursuing!

In addition to prospect research, the roadmap will include important dates for each opportunity and identify any steps you may need to take before applying.

If you’d like start-to-finish help, Plan Your Stops can be combined with any of the grant packages below. Final pricing will be determined after our initial conversation as to the scale of your funding needs.

Your Grant Co-Pilot

I’ve written over a hundred proposals and letters of intent, garnering $4.9 million from 50 different foundations and government entities. Let me take grant writing off your plate and do what I do best so you can get back to doing what you do best.

As an added bonus to the proposal itself, after it’s submitted, I’ll send you a document with universal language for your organization that can be used in future applications.

Because grants vary widely in their complexity and timelines, my grant writing packages do, too. Final pricing will be determined after our initial conversation, but the questions below should give you an idea as to the range in which your needs fall.

  • You’ve done the heavy-lifting of getting it drafted, but you need help making it as strong as possible to increase its chances of getting funded. I’ll review and edit your existing letter of intent, proposal, or report, including suggestions for rewriting, reorganization, and grammar improvements so that you can submit with your best foot forward.

    $750-1250

  • Rather than miss the deadline on a potential funding opportunity, let me help you. I’ll draft the narrative, work with you on 2 rounds of edits, then deliver a ready-to-submit letter of intent, proposal, or interim or final report. This level is for proposals and reports that are short (think 5-6 pages of completed narrative with attachments).

    $1250-1500

  • I know the feeling! Sometimes it’s hard to even know where to start with proposals or reports with lengthy guidelines and detailed applications, such as state or federal grants.

Hand it over, I’ve got it covered. While the process for this level is the same as the one above, it’s longer and more in-depth so I can draft a competitive application.

    $3500-6000

  • It’s rarer and rarer to see nonprofits with a dedicated grant writer on staff, which causes a strain on everyone else at the organization because the grants still need to get written!

If we’ve worked together on an application and you would like more consistent grant support, a monthly retainer may be the perfect solution (and one that uses your resources more wisely).

Where you fall in the price range depends on the number and complexity of the grants your organization applies for, as well as how much of your grants program you’d like me to handle.

    $2000-7000 per month
